Today I went to training for my new job as a preschool teacher.. It was pretty much basic stuff that I've already known and gone over a thousand times, but one important thing that I took from it was, "change up your environment." This was meant to be directed towards kids meaning, they get bored with the same routine and need new stimulation to keep them engaged and wanting to learn. But I applied it to my life, or any adults’ life for that matter... Me moving to Hawaii was a huge change of environment, and I think it's important that we are always changing things up to keep life interesting and exciting. It could be something simple like rearranging furniture, exercising in a new spot, surfing a new break, or something drastic like submersing yourself into a new culture, learning a new language, etc.. Whatever it may be, we easily get stuck in our same patterns and routines, which can be good for stability, but need to be changed from time to time... So anyways, while I was driving home from town today, that is what I was pondering about. Most people are fearful to change their environment because of fear of the unknown, and don't want to be out of their comfort zone, but I promise, if you’re open to it, it’s almost always is a positive experience ... Taking risks in my life has brought me to Hawaii, and I couldn’t be happier here! Anyways, I hope everyone is having a blessed and healthy new year, and just being simply happy. A lot of mumbo jumbo often gets in the way, and if you just bring it down to what is truly important, it makes your life so much more meaningful and fulfilled... Alohaaaa xxoo
